At 302 Rantoul Street, the Beverly-Peabody Elks Lodge #1309 is the kind of place where regulars know your name before you finish signing in. Rated 4.8 stars across dozens of reviews, this lodge has earned its reputation the old-fashioned way: cheap drinks, a pool table, dart boards, a jukebox, and a Sunday football feast that draws a crowd every single week.

The Grill Room is open to members and guests, and the second-floor event hall has hosted everything from baby showers to costume-packed birthday blowouts. The stage, the bar, and the open floor plan make it one of the North Shore's most flexible gathering spaces. When members say the place was packed and everyone had a great time, they mean it.

Beyond the bar and the billiards, Lodge #1309 puts real money and real hours into the community. Student scholarships, Hoop Shoot youth basketball, drug awareness programs, and dedicated veterans services are not afterthoughts here. They are the reason the Elks exist, and Lodge #1309 delivers on that mission every year.

What We Offer

The Grill Room is the social heart of the lodge, open Monday through Sunday with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Members and their guests gather for drinks at prices that feel like a throwback, free food on game days, and a laid-back atmosphere that big bars in the city simply cannot replicate.

Need a space for your next event? The second-floor hall rental seats a crowd, includes a full stage and bar access, and works for birthday parties, baby showers, anniversary dinners, reunions, and more. Lodge meetings keep the fraternal mission moving forward, while the Elks National Foundation channels grant funding into local programs that make a measurable difference in Beverly and Peabody.

Community programs round out the Lodge's calendar year-round. Youth basketball through the Hoop Shoot competition, drug awareness outreach, and veterans services connect Lodge #1309 to the neighborhoods it has always called home.

"I only used it as a rental space for an event but it worked perfectly. We had a baby shower. There is a big stage and a lot of room in the second floor rental space. There is also a bar and you can hire a bartender. There's a sink. There's plenty of places to plug in things. You can have a lot of tables and chairs. We had over 100 people and it was a great space. The people at the elks are very friendly and accommodating. Be aware there is limited parking lot parking. You need to park in the street. There are kiosks to pay for parking. But we had over 100 people and no one complained so it worked."

"Great people, great drinks at cheap prices, pool table, dart boards, put out free food occasionally. Always a big feast on Sundays during football season, lots of seating, jukebox and besides all that there are a lot of great people who do lots of charity work out of the lodge."

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
